Looks you've a really good rig; The Intel i7 might not be the latest and greatest but it should definitely handle anything you throw at it. Are you looking to do gaming? If so I would recommend getting a really good graphics card. Its been over a year since I've done research on graphic cards but if you're looking to buy one it'll give me an excuse to get up to date on them and I can tell you which I recommend.
Regardless of what you are looking to do with the computer your main priority is to get more RAM. If you're getting a lot freezes or lags it's definitely the amount of RAM. Since you have a 64 bit OS you can upgrade to as much RAM as allowed by your motherboard and the OS will recognize all of it. Without looking up your model I would say it's a safe bet that your motherboard holds either 16 or 32GB of RAM.
My recommendation would be to upgrade to 8 GB of RAM but if you're gaming you'd probably want to go up to 16 GB.
You definitely don't need to get a new computer and there's a chance too that you might find a great deal on a faster i7 chip while shopping for RAM.
